Beskid creates storage products and archival accessories for libraries, museums, and archives, having been the leader in this field on the Polish market for over 25 years now. The company can boast comprehensive knowledge regarding the archiving of objects and the storage of collections; they demonstrate a high work ethic aiming to preserve the cultural heritage for the future generations. Their target group are respectable Polish and international cultural institutions.

I was asked to design a website for Beskid, along with e-commerce, various marketing concepts, and a product catalogue.

Thanks to gaining insight in the feedback of users and of the employees of Beskid concerning the previous website and catalogue, I was able to understand the main pain points, to pinpoint the discrepancies, to simplify the terminology, and to make it all more legible. Both in the web design and in the paper catalogue, I created new information architecture, which clearly collects, organizes, and presents the extensive offer of the company. The greatest challenge in the project was to explain the complex processes as well as to build consistent simple solutions, coherent in all areas of implementation and adapted to the users’ needs. The project required an innovative UX approach, minimalism, and a comprehensive outlook on the services to propose the most intuitive solutions. It was essential for me to provide the users with an adequate amount of information in appropriate places, so that they wouldn’t feel overwhelmed. I wanted to adjust the communication and visual language to the needs of the target group. The whole project was developed by a great project team, consisting of the product owner, a copywriter, translators, marketing specialists, and web developers.
